abstract = "Changes in use and cover land are evident and need to be
quantified. Remote sensing and GIS present themselves as important
tools for the observation, analysis and quantification of these
changes. The dynamic modeling through dynamic spatial models seek
to explain the occurrence of phenomena and their evolution over
time considering the system as a whole, ie, the interactions
between all components. The study area, the municipality of
Sobradinho-RS, has the base of its economy on agriculture, mainly
in the production of tobacco. For the processing of this culture
is necessary drying which uses wood as a source of heat. This
demand causes changes of uses and cover land. The aim of this
study is modeling the spatial dynamics of use and cover land in
the municipality of Sobradinho-RS, in the period between 2011 and
2013. A dynamic spatial modeling was three steps: construction and
calibration of the model, simulation and validation, which were
performed in Dinamica EGO software. The data model input
encompassed dynamic and static variables. As dynamic variables,
the thematic maps of use and cover land for the years 2011 and
2013. Maps of roads, hydrography, hypsometric, soils and geology
of the study area were used as static variables. The simulated map
of 2013, parameterized by Bayesian weights of evidence,
satisfactory results obtained by the method of validation by the
fuzzy similarity index. The parameterized model showed a high
level of acceptance, which allows to perform simulations for
future scenarios.",
